Patterson Quill Publishing Retailer Refund and Return Policy

At Patterson Quill Publishing, we value our relationships with retailers and strive to provide high-quality books that meet the needs of your customers. To ensure a smooth and fair process for handling returns, we have established the following refund and return policy:

1. Eligibility for Returns

  • Timeframe: Retailers may return books within 180 days of the original purchase date.

  • Condition: Books must be in resalable condition (e.g., no damage, markings, or signs of wear).

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid invoice or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

2. Return Process

  1. Request Authorization:

    • Contact Patterson Quill Publishing at admin@pattersonquillpublishing.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

    • Provide the following information:

      • Retailer name and contact information.

      • Invoice number and date of purchase.

      • List of books being returned (title, ISBN, quantity).

  2. Ship Returns:

    • Once an RMA number is issued, ship the books to the address provided by Patterson Quill Publishing.

    • Retailers are responsible for return shipping costs.

  3. Inspection:

    • Upon receipt, returned books will be inspected to ensure they meet the resalable condition criteria.

3. Refund or Credit

  • Resalable Books: If the returned books are in resalable condition, retailers will receive a full refund or credit (at the retailer’s discretion) within 30 days of inspection.

  • Non-Resalable Books: Books that do not meet the resalable condition criteria will not be eligible for a refund or credit and may be returned to the retailer at their expense.

4. Restocking Fee

  • A 10% restocking fee will be applied to all non-defective returns.

  • No restocking fee will be charged for defective or damaged books.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable:

  • Damaged Books: Books damaged after delivery to the retailer.

  • Special Orders: Custom or special-order books (e.g., signed copies, special editions).

  • Final Sale Items: Clearly marked as final sale at the time of purchase.

6. Exchanges

  • Exchanges for damaged or defective books will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
